JAMMU, Jan 19: Aimed to address the growing concern of infertility, impacting millions of Indian couples, Gaudium IVF & Gynae Solutions today launched a new OPD at Starmed Multi Speciality Clinic.
Addressing a press conference, Dr. Sayesha Bawa emphasized PCOS as a leading cause of female sub fertility.
She said, “Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine disorders among females and one of the leading causes of female sub fertility. The PCOS symptoms include an ovulation (leading to irregular periods and infertility), excess androgenic hormones and insulin resistance.”
The new Gaudium IVF OPD at Starmed will offer comprehensive fertility services and expert consultations.
This partnership aims to make specialized fertility care more accessible in the Jammu region, reflecting Gaudium IVF’s commitment to raising awareness about infertility and available treatments.
Infertility affects an estimated 10-15% of married couples in India, surpassing the prevalence of conditions like diabetes.
Experts attribute this rise to 21st-century lifestyle changes, including long work hours, poor nutrition, and disrupted sleep, contributing to reproductive health issues in both men and women.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a particularly prevalent concern among Indian women.
Starmed Chairman Y S Jasrotia and Managing Directors, Raagini Singh Jasrotia and Sharang Jasrotia were also present during the launching event.
