SAMBA, Oct 17: Member of Legislative Assembly, Vijaypur Chander Parkash Ganga kick started blacktopping of three link roads within Vijaypur Assembly constituency with an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh.
In a handout issued here the MLA said blacktopping was laid on the connecting road to village Nagrota from Utterbehni -Vijaypur link road with estimate of 15 lac while the Suchani road 10 lac and Mohalla Samrala, Mohalla Shadpal and Mohalla Nohad in Pyt Utterbehni was worth 25 lac executed under city town plan by PWD.
These important road stretches will provide major relief to residents, traders, and daily commuters who have long demanded their upgradation. On the occasion MLA Ganga said that the work marks another milestone in the ongoing development initiatives aimed at ensuring smooth and durable road connectivity for the people of Vijaypur. He stated that good roads are the foundation of overall progress as they facilitate trade, tourism, and access to essential services.
Ganga emphasized that the Public Works Department (PWD) has been instructed to complete the project within the stipulated time frame while maintaining the highest standards of quality. He reiterated that there will be zero tolerance for any compromise in quality and that regular inspections will be conducted to ensure transparency and accountability.
The MLA further informed that multiple road improvement works are underway in different wards and rural areas of the constituency. These projects, he said, reflect the Government’s mission to strengthen basic infrastructure and ensure balanced growth for both urban and rural belts. Ganga reaffirmed his dedication to the people, stating that several new development projects focusing on roads, water supply, and sanitation are already in the pipeline and will be executed in a phased manner in the coming months.
