SAMBA, Feb 7: Former Minister and MLA, Chander Prakash Ganga along with Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma convened a public meeting at Ramgarh to take stock of public grievances besides assessing the status of development works being executed in the area under various State and Centrally sponsored programmes.
“It is prime concern of Modi Government to take special care of rural, border and unattended pockets of the State so that these are developed with all latest infrastructural utilities bringing them at par with urban parts”, asserted Mr Ganga .
Elaborating on several innovative measures being launched by the Centre government for socio-economic transformation of the State, the MLA said that the recent decision of raising five new battalions in the State with sixty per cent reservation for border areas would immensely help the youth get employment. Besides, the rural areas are being electrified under Deen Dayal Jyoti Yojana apart from being equipped with other basic amenities on war footing, he added.
The MLA also informed that the crate work on Bund at forward Kamore has been completed successfully with an expenditure of Rs. 4.83 crore which will ensure safety of border people and their property during heavy rains and floods.
Addressing the gathering, the MP Jugal Kishore Sharma highlighted various initiatives of the Centre Government and appealed the people to cooperate with the government agencies for realizing Modi’s dream of making India world leader. He threw light on several measures taken up by the Centre like announcement of Rs. 2000 crore for construction of refugee bunkers for border areas, Suraksha Beema Yojna and other insurance schemes, proposed 3 new railway platforms, new railway terminal at Rahya Morh etc.
Later, the MLA and the MP handed over the papers of scooties among handicapped being sponsored by the Social Welfare Department.
