Ganesh utsav will generate more than Rs 5k cr revenue: BGUS

HYDERABAD, July 23: Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi (BGUS) Secretary Dr Ravinuthala Shashidhar today said that the Ganesh Utsav in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad is going to conduct its “46th Samuhika Ganesh Utsav in Bhagyanagar” this year commencing with installation of Ganesh idol on August 27 and culminating with huge ‘ Samuhik Ganesh immersion” on September 6 being the ‘Anantha Chaturdashi’.
Shashidhar also stated that it is observed that the ‘ Ganesh Festival Economy in Twin cities during this festival season generates a revenue of more than Rs 5000 crore in these festivities.
He requested all the Pandal Organisers and devotees to support the Nation by using Swadeshi products during the Ganesh Chaturthi Festivals.
In addition to celebrating the ‘Samuhik Ganesh Utsav’, the Samithi (BGUS) this year has chosen to highlight the “150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, 125th Birth anniversary of Dr Shyam Prasad Mukherjee, the pioneer in National Unity and Integration and 100th year Celebration of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh” under our ‘ Swadeshi-Swadharma and Swasamskruthi” ideology accordingly the activities of ” Pancha parivarthana” which include the Parisara Samrakshan, Samajik Samarasatha, Kutumba Vyavastha , Swaadharitha Jeevana and Nagarik Karthvyam advocated by RSS will be taken up across the Ganesh Pandals and Festivities, he said.
In order to promote the Usage of ‘ Swadeshi Commodities”, the Samithi under the “Swadeshi Jagaran Manch” request the devotees for the usage of Swadeshi Products, he said on the occasion of inauguration of dedicated office by the Samithi at Siddiamber Bazar here today for bolstering festival preparations for Samuhik Ganesh Utsav in Bhagyanagar for the year 2025.
Coinciding with the 169th birth anniversary of the revered freedom fighter and social reformer Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, the new office which serves as a ‘Central Hub’ for Ganesh activities, was inaugurated by the Samithi President G.Raghava Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said the newly inaugurated office will serve as a Hub for all activities related to the Ganesh Utsav and its primary functions will include centralized coordination with local organization; Liaison with government authorities; promoting cultural and social initiatives; Planning and implementation of the Grand immersion procession.
He stated the inauguration of our office marks a significant milestone for the Samithi as we continue our mission to promoting the annual Ganesh Utsav in Bhagyanagar, strive to unite the community in celebrating this revered festival with traditional fervor at grand scale while working closely with authorities and communities to ensure a safe and memorable celebration.
The Samithi has a long-standing history of successfully organizing the Ganesh Chaturthi Festival in Bhagyanagar , which draws millions of devotees annually.
With the establishment of this office, the Samithi aims to further enhance its operational efficiency and outreach, promising an even more spectacular and spiritually enriching experience for everyone participating in the upcoming celebrations.
