JAMMU, May 24: The Gandhi Global Family (GGF), in collaboration with various civil society organizations, today dispatched its second batch of relief material for the families affected by Pakistani shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri and Poonch districts. The batch is scheduled to be formally handed over to the respective District Administrations in Rajouri and Poonch.
The relief material was collectively arranged by Gandhi Global Family J&K, J&K Ex-Services League, Tawi Welfare Society, and Unnat NGO. It comprises juices, biscuits, sports items for children, sanitary napkins for women, grocery kits, and mosquito nets.
The symbolic handover was conducted by prominent members of the supporting organizations including Dr. S. P. Varma, Lt. Gen. Rakesh Sharma (Retd.), Neena Abrol, and Dr. Alka Sharma and was received by Dr. Nitan Sharma, Regional General Secretary, GGF Jammu.
The event was graced by academicians Prof. Lalit Sen Sharma (Provost, Boys Hostel), Dr. Surinder Sharma (Warden), Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Dr. Satya Priya (Warden), and Dr. P. P. Singh. Also present were senior GGF members Dr. Dinesh Gupta, Dr. Robert Robin Gill, Summi Sahi Seth, Dr. Parvinder Kour, Joginder Kour, Punit Kour, Manish Joshi, Er. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Amit Varma, Ved Verma, Ch. Mumtaz Ahmed Kabir, Kirtan Singh, Raj Kumar, Naresh Maini, and Ankush Varma.
Dr. S. P. Varma expressed heartfelt gratitude to Anu Radha Lal, President, GGF Women (Andaman & Nicobar Islands), for her team’s generous contribution. The handover took place in the presence of Col. Rajinder Singh, Ashwani Dubey, Kanchan Sharma, Gauran Abrol, Adv. Waqar Hussain Shah, Rakesh Singh Dogra, Surinder Gupta, Rampal Gupta, Nand Kishor, Ashok Kumar, Narinder Singh, Rajinder Singh and numerous volunteers from GGF and Boys Hostel.
