CL Chrangoo Cricket Tourney concludes

JAMMU, Jan 29: Game Changers trounced WCC Srinagar with three wickets in nail biting fight in final summit of CL Chrangoo Memorial Cricket Tournament and lifted the title trophy, being played at Country Cricket Ground Amb Gharota, here today.
The WCC Srinagar won the toss and decided to bat first. The WCC scored moderate 116 runs by losing nine wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Jatin scored highest 34 runs, whereas Mushtaq and Vineet made 21 and 15 runs respectively and Junaid, Aqib and Adil contributed 10 runs each to the total. From bowling side, Govind was wrecker in chief who took four wickets by conceding 18 runs while Jatinder bagged two wickets and Vivrant, Ankaj and Akash Choudhary clinched one wicket each.
In reply, Game Changers chased the target by losing seven wickets from the stipulated 20 overs in a nail biting tough fight. Kanav and Jatinder scored 28 runs each in 29 and 25 balls respectively, whereas Yogesh, Govind, Vivrant and Sanchit contributed 20, 16, 7 and 8 runs respectively. From bowling side, Jatin took three wickets and Junaid bagged two wickets, whereas Mehraj clinched one wicket. Govind was declared as man of the match for his outstanding bowling.
ML Nehru former general secretary JKCA was the chief guest and awarded winning and runner-up trophies to both the teams in presence of working committee members of JKCA, A Rouf, SK Tickoo, CL Suri, Rajesh Dhar, Kanhaiya Lal, Nazeer Magrey, Rajeev Pandita, Shuban Lal Trakroo, Rakesh Koul, Deepak Fotedar and Dr Ajay Chrangoo.
Junaid was declared as man of the series and best bowler, whereas Kannav was declared best batsman and Kanhaiya awarded with best fielder award.
