Galgotias University apologises over AI Summit controversy, vacates Expo premises

NEW DELHI, Feb 18 : Greater Noida-based Galgotias University has issued a public apology following the controversy at the recent AI Summit over the display of a robotic product at its pavilion.
In a press release here today, the university said that confusion was created after one of its representatives, who was manning the pavilion, gave factually incorrect information.
According to the statement, the representative was ill-informed about the technical origins of the product and was not authorised to speak to the press.
The university stated that in her enthusiasm while speaking on camera, she shared incorrect details, leading to the controversy. It clarified that there was no institutional intent to misrepresent the innovation.
“Galgotias University remains firmly committed to academic integrity, transparency, and responsible representation of our work,” the statement said.
The university further said that, understanding the organisers’ sentiment, it has vacated the expo premises.
