JAMMU, June 10: Police have registered a fresh FIR in connection with a firing incident that took place during a weapon recovery operation in Bishnah area on Monday.
The FIR number 54/2025 has been registered at Police Station Bishnah under sections 109, 132, 307, 121, and 111 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in connection with a firing incident that occurred on Monday when accused Bagh Hussain alias Baghu alias Sunny attempted to escape during the recovery process, a police official said.
According to him, the accused sustained injuries while attempting to flee but is now out of danger and under medical care.
Meanwhile, the police official said that the arms and ammunition recovered on the disclosure of the accused-comprising one pistol, four live rounds, and a sharp-edged axe-have been seized and secured as case property in the already registered FIR number 53/2025 at Police Station Miran Sahib.
He said further investigation is underway and all possible links of the accused are being closely examined.
