Fresh ceasefire violation by Pak in Rajouri

 

JAMMU :  In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops targeted forward Indian posts in Bhimber Gali area along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Pakistani troops last night at around 2040 hrs fired small and automatic  weapons on Indian forward posts along the LoC in Bhimbhergali area,” S N Acharya, PRO Jammu, Ministry of Defence here told UNI.

He said, “our troops retaliated effectively with similar caliber of weapons adding that there were no reports of loss of life or injury to anyone.”

Earlier, on September 22 after a brief lull, Pakistan violated truce in same Bhimber Gali area and on September 17, Pakistan fired heavily in Mendhar Sector of Poonch in which a BSF jawan and a civilian sustained injuries.

“Last night’s ceasefire violation was the 19th in the month of September this year and 120th so far in 2013,” said the  spokesman.
