JAMMU, Jan 28: A free medical camp was organized today in the premises of Government High School (GHS), Chatha, under the supervision of renowned medical professional Dr Shakti Dhar, with the objective of extending basic health-care services to the underprivileged sections of the area.
The camp witnessed active participation from the local community and was aimed at promoting health awareness and early detection of common ailments.
During the camp, patients were provided free medical consultations by the attending doctors, while essential medicines were distributed free of cost to the beneficiaries. Special attention was given to students, elderly persons and women, who were examined for common health issues and given necessary medical advice.
The initiative proved beneficial for many residents who otherwise have limited access to regular medical facilities. A large number of people, including students, parents and residents from the surrounding areas, availed the services offered at the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, the Headmaster of GHS Chatha highlighted the selfless efforts of Dr Shakti Dhar and his team for organizing the camp and serving the community with dedication, commitment and compassion. He expressed hope that such initiatives would continue in the future for the welfare of society.
