JAMMU, Mar 27: Mahavir International, Jammu Centre, organized a free mammography camp at Bahu Plaza, Gandhi Nagar, as part of its regular social outreach initiatives aimed at promoting women’s health and awareness.
The camp was held in association with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Hospital and witnessed participation from a large number of women, who availed the facility for screening and consultation. The initiative was aimed at spreading awareness about breast health and emphasizing the importance of early detection in preventing serious complications.
Speaking on the occasion, members of the organization highlighted that such camps are conducted regularly to sensitize women about the need for timely check-ups and to remove the stigma and hesitation often associated with breast-related examinations. They reiterated that early diagnosis through mammography significantly increases the chances of effective treatment and recovery.
General secretary Rajni Jain, Divya Jain (BJP general secretary), Mona Jain, Leena Jain and Reecha Jain were present during the camp and supervised the arrangements while also interacting with participants. Their presence added encouragement to the initiative and reflected the organization’s continued commitment to community welfare.
Mahavir International, Jammu Centre, has been actively organizing similar healthcare programmes as part of its ongoing projects, striving to reach out to more women and ensure access to essential diagnostic services at their doorstep.
