Speaking on the issue, IYC secretary Incharge J&K Maan Singh Rathore said, “The Election Commission, as a constitutional body, must rise above political pressures and act with impartiality. It is their duty to uphold the sanctity of free and fair elections under democracy, and silence or denial on such serious allegations only raises more doubts among the people.”
JKPYC general secretary Anirudh Sawhney, while addressing the protest, strongly criticized the Election Commission’s response to the growing allegations. He said, “The Election Commission dodged critical questions during its press conference and instead of giving assurances of inquiry or corrective action, it chose the path of denial. This evasive approach undermines public trust and creates serious apprehensions about the fairness of the electoral process.”
Ranjodh Singh and Fiaz Diwan said, “We want to remind the Commission that it is not answerable to any political party but to the people of India and the Constitution of this country. By failing to address the issue of voter list discrepancies and vote manipulation, it has shaken the confidence of the youth in democratic institutions. The Youth Congress will continue to fight until accountability is ensured and transparency is restored.”
