Free eye screening camp organized at Muttal

UDHAMPUR, July 17: A free eye screening camp was organized by Rotary Club Udhampur in collaboration with KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur and The Udhampur Rotary Eye & General Welfare Foundation at Village Muttal.
A medical team from Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur examined 101 patients in the camp and 7 out of them were screened for implantation of IOL. IOL will be implanted at Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur.
Rotary Club Udhampur committed that it will continue to organize more camps in rural and backward areas of J&K to prevent the preventable blindness from the Union Territory so that poor people may be benefitted. It was informed on the occasion that Rotary Club Udhampur will plan to organize an eye screening camp at Jungle Gali on 19th August 2023.
Col Hargovind Singh (president, Rotary Club Udhampur), DN Sharma (Chairman) and Kamal Gupta (secretary general of Udhampur Rotary Eye & General Welfare Foundation), Puran Lal Sharma, PL Suri, Rajendra Sanson and medical team of the Hospital actively participated in the camp.
