SAMBA, Nov 5: A free eye operation camp was organized by Lions Club, Samba with the Co-operation of District Health Society, Samba under the presidentship of Amardeep Singh, today.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr D K Manyal, MLA Samba. About 250 patients were examined by a team of doctors and paramedical staff headed by Doctor Kul Rattan Anand and his team.
Among them 22 patients were identified for operation which is to be carried in district Hospital, Samba, tomorrow and check up will be done with the provision of Diet, Medicine and medical care. Chief Medical Officer, Samba, Rajeev Sharma and Medical Superintendent, Arun Sharma assured the full co-operation to the Club.
Deputy Commissioner, Sheetal Nanda, SSP Joginder Singh were the guest of honour. Sarpanches, Panches and members of the Club graced the occasion.
President Lion, Amardeep Singh with his team rendered full service in the camp. People of the area appreciated this gesture of the club.
