Sir,
It is really shocking for the public that some blue eyed people i.e. the juniors are preferred over the well trained SFS/IFS Officers for the posts of DFO/PO/DDOs in the J&K Forest Department. About 50 percent of the forest divisions are held by the Range Officers and Foresters whereas, IFS/SFS Officers are deprived of the responsible postings and are even made to work under their juniors. The nepotism in the Forest Department is well assessed. This prevailing malpractice within the J&K Forest Department no doubt has exposed not only the internal malfunctioning of administration but also the nexus of some influential blue eyed people who manage their lucrative postings as per their will. Hence, the unnoticed nepotism has also been exposed in the public.
It’s a matter of displeasure that when the Department is equipped with technically sound and well trained Officers, why they are not being given responsible postings ? As the Forest is the backbone of ecological balance and plays key role in the betterment of life on earth. If such malpractices are kept on track what will the future of our forest wealth. What will be the fate of J&K Forest Department…………….a bigger question mark?
Yours etc…..
