DODA, Dec 6: Police here today arrested four bovine smugglers and rescued bovines from them.
Drivers of the vehicles bearing registration numbers JK04K-2888, JK17A-4500 and JK17-0373 were moving from Kishtwar to Kashmir via Sinthan road and they were stopped by cops at Chatroo Police Inter district Naka in wee hours.
During checking of the vehicles, cops found bovines tied with ropes loaded mercilessly in the vehicles.
On questioning, the drivers and co-passenger disclosed that they were taking the bovines to Kashmir without any permission.
The drivers and co-passenger were immediately arrested.
In this case an FIR with number 48/2025, 49/2025, 50/2025 U/S 223 BNS & 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Chatroo and investigation started.
