Four security personnel injured in Srinagar grenade attack

SRINAGAR:
Four security personnel, including an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI), were injured after militants hurled a grenade at a police party in downtown Srinagar.
Official sources said militants hurled a grenade on a police party at Khanyar in the down town city tonight at 2045 hrs.
They said three policemen, including an ASI, and a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan were injured in the attack. The injured were immediately taken to a hospital.
The attack came when security forces were on high alert in the city in view of the reports that militants would cause disturbances on or before the August 15 .
A massive hunt has been launched to nab the militants who escaped after the attack. (AGENCIES)
