Four more arrested for rioting

RAMBAN, Aug 19: Chanderkote Police arrested four more persons for rioting thereby taking total arrest to six.
As per police sources, while investigation further a case registered under FIR Number 103/2021 under Sections 307, 323, 147, 148 and 109 IPC, a team from Police Station Chanderkote led by SHO Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary arrested four more persons.
The arrested persons were identified as Zakir Hussain, son of Abdul Rasheed of Kanachak District Jammu, at present Ladda-Kriya, Sher Ali (Sheru), son of Abdul Rasheed of Bari-Brahmana, District Samba, at present Ladda-Kriya, Abdul Rashid, son of Mohammad Shafi of Tanger, District Jammu, at present Ladda,-Kriya and Nazir Ahmed, son of Abdul Rahim of Kalyanpur, District Jammu, at present Ladda-Kriya.
It is pertinent to mention here that these accused have been arrested in connection with a case registered at Police Station Chanderkote after a written complaint was filed by a man mentioning therein that a group of people belonging to Gujjar community attacked their people and cattle on 10th of the ongoing month.
Taking a strong cognisance of the issue, before it could take the proportion of a law order situation between the two communities, a team from Police Station Chanderkote arrested two accused on the very same day and working on the same lines, arrested four more accused today.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
