JAMMU, Feb 23: Four persons including a 4-year-old girl were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a pedestrian identified as Gandhari (25) wife of Makhan Singh, a resident of Billawar, was hit and injured by a car this afternoon here near Rotary Chowk.
At Canal Road near Mahajan Sweets, an old man namely Opinder Nath (85) son of Ram Lal, a resident of Talab Tillo, was hit and injured by an auto rikshaw when he was crossing the road.
In Sainik Colony area near Heritage School, a car hit a school van resulting into injuries to a 4-years-old school girl namely Harshita (4) daughter of Sandeep Singh of Sainik Colony.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment. In all three cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
Meanwhile, a lady identified as Shanti Devi wife of Tara Chand, a resident of Jassore, suffered injuries when the mini-bus bearing registration number JK02AE-9116 she was travelling in, collided with a pole at Nadi Morh in Miran Sahib area allegedly due to negligent driving by the mini-bus driver, who fled from the spot of crime. The injured lady was shifted to a Government hospital in RS Pura for treatment. In this connection a case FIR No 32/2016 under Sections 279, 337 RPC was registered at police station Miran Sahib.
