JAMMU, June 26: Four individuals were arrested for gambling in RS Pura area here, officials said.
During a late night raid at Gandhi Park area in RS Pura, four individuals identified as Bhushan Lal of Kapoorpur, Romesh Kumar of Ward number 7, RS Pura, and Jatinder Singh and Ajay Kumar of Satriyan, were arrested red-handed while gambling in an open area, they said.
A total of Rs 14500 in stake money and a set of playing cards were recovered from their possession, officials said.
According to them, the accused have been accordingly booked under section 13 of the Gambling Act registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation taken up.
