DODA, Feb 7: Police here arrested four persons in Bhaderwah for assaulting a tourist.
A written complaint was received at Police Station Bhaderwah from one Suresh Kumar, son of Dileep Chand, resident of Nagni Bhalra, Tehsil Bhaderwah, regarding the assault of a tourist in Bhaderwah area.
Taking cognizance of the complaint and to prevent any further escalation, Doda Police today initiated preventive action under Sections 126/170 of BNSS and detained Javed Iqbal, son of Ali Mohd, resident of Kholra Basti, Bhaderwah; Owais Ahmed, son of Showket Ali, resident of Kholra Basti, Bhaderwah; Khursheed Ahmed, son of Mohd Yasir, resident of Nalthi, Bhaderwah and Avinash Manhas, son of Vipin Manhas, resident of Nalthi, Tehsil Bhaderwah.
All the detained persons were produced before the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Bhaderwah, for further legal proceedings as per the law.
