UDHAMPUR, Dec 23: Police foiled a bovine smuggling attempt and rescued four bovines besides arresting the accused smuggler.
These bovines were being smuggled in a vehicle bearing registration number JK02DD-9101, which was intercepted at Jakhani naka point in the jurisdiction of PS Udhampur.
Driver of the vehicle, Bilal Hussain, son of Sharif Hussain of Jard, Jar Krimachi, was arrested on the spot while all the four bovines were rescued and the vehicle was also seized.
In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Udhampur.
