JAMMU, Aug 3: Four people were booked by the police for allegedly assaulting a woman at Ganeshu Chak area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Satwari.
Kuldeep Kumar, his wife Kamal Kumari, son Karan Kumar, and daughter-in-law (name not known) were booked in case FIR number 160/2025 under sections 126(2), 115(2), 3(5), and 351(2) of the BNS registered at Police Station Satwari for allegedly assaulting a woman Khajan Devi of Ganeshu Chak, Phallain Mandal, Jammu, a police official said.
Quoting the complainant, he said, the victim had gone to the fields near her residence when she was allegedly confronted, abused, and assaulted by four individuals.
“On the complaint of the woman, we have registered a case under the relevant sections of the BNS and started further investigations into the matter,” the police official said.
