Four arrested with Rs 5,100 stake money

JAMMU, Mar 30: Four gamblers held along with Rs 5,100 stake money and playing cards from Sector D Sainik Colony.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Channi Himmat police station and Sainik Colony police post conducted a raid at Sector D, Sainik Colony and arrested four gamblers along with Rs 5,100 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Mahesh Kumar, son of Kunja Ram, Kirpal Aherwal, son of Jagua Aherwal, Jeevan Aherwal, son of Gheerba Aherwal and Laxmi Prasad, son of Puran Prasad, all residents of Madhya Pradesh, presently residing at Deeli, Sainik Colony.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Channi Himmat police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Channi Himmat police station Inspector Aejaz Wani and Incharge police post Sainik Colony SI Susheel Chowdhary made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
