RAJOURI, Aug 30: During an impressive function at village Dhangri in Rajouri, president of Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Ved Parkash Sharma laid foundation stone of Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Ji Temple near Tawi amidst chanting of Vedic Mantra by the scholars.
Prominent personalities, ex-Sarpanches, retired Army personals, educationists and others were present on the occasion. Land for the temple was donated by a prominent social activist Ashok Sharma.
Addressing the gathering, Ved Parkash Sharma appealed people of the State to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood. On the occasion, various problems of the community were also discussed and several resolutions were passed pertaining to Brahman community issues.
Those who were present on the occasion, included Sajan Khajuria, Advocate Rajesh Sharma, Dheeraj Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Advocate P C Sharma, Shiv Ram Sharma, Ramesh Sharma, Subash Shastri, Jagan Nath Sharma, Behari Lal Shastri, Sardari Lal Sharma (Akhnoor) Sat Pal Sharma, Gurdas Sharma, Dr Som Dutt Magotra and others.
