Foundation stone of Deon –Bral Mata road laid

SAMBA, Jan 8: MLA Vijaypur, Chander Prakash Ganga along with MP, Jugal Kishore Sharma, DDC Chairman, Keshav Sharma today laid the foundation stone for the construction work of Deon to Bral Mata road. The road project will be constructed at an estimated cost of about Rs 25 crore. The total length of the road is 10 kms and it will be constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). Speaking on the occasion, MLA Chander Prakash Ganga said that this is a great gift for the people of the area. The construction of the road will provide better transport facility to the surrounding villages including Deon, Bral Mata, which will facilitate the movement of local residents and give a new impetus to the social and economic development of the area.
He said that the local people have been demanding this road for a long time, which is going to be a reality soon. MP Lok Sabha, Jugal Kishore Sharma also described the project as an important step towards the development of the region. He said that the Central Government is constantly striving to provide robust infrastructure to rural areas and this road is part of the same link.
The construction of the road will also boost education, health, trade and agricultural activities. Both the MLA and the MP expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for this important project. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, unprecedented development of roads and infrastructure is taking place across the country, connecting even remote areas with the mainstream.
During the foundation stone event, DDC Chairman, Samba Keshav Dutt Sharma, DDC Member, Avtar Singh, DDC Member, Shilpa Dubey, BJP Jammu and Kashmir vice president, Rekha Mahajan, BJP senior leader, Jai Ram, BJP Mandal president, Narendra Singh, Mandal president, Dheeraj Sharma, former Sarpanch, Anil Sharma, local public representatives, BJP workers and a large number of local residents were present.
Everyone expressed happiness at the start of road construction work and thanked the central leadership.
