Former MLC, CAO Narayana Hospital call on Governor

JAMMU, Nov 21: B. R. Kundal, former Member of the State Legislative Council and Chief Secretary, called on Governor N. N. Vohra,  at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Kundal discussed with the Governor various important issues of public importance, including the functioning of the administrative apparatus, the crucial importance of ensuring transparency and accountability in all spheres of functioning and the need for speeding up the implementation of development schemes and programmes.
Appreciating Kundal’s concerns the Governor urged him to vigorously continue his endeavours for promoting the people’s welfare.
Brig (Retd.) M. M. Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super-Specialty Hospital (SMVDNSSH) also called on Governor.
CAO Harjai briefed Governor about the to-date status of all aspects of the hospital’s functioning, particularly about the increasing number of outdoor and indoor patients, number of diagnostic tests conducted, number of major surgeries performed etc since the hospital was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India in April 2016.
Governor stressed the need to ensure optimum use of the state of the art diagnostic and other infrastructure available in the hospital for providing best health care to the patients.
