JAMMU, May 17: Former MLA Ramban and Senior Congress leader, Ashok Kumar protested against the BJP led government and demanded roll back of hike in petrol and diesel prices as the common man has already hit by crisis due to COVID-19 pandemic.
In a handout Kumar said that the pandemic has reduced the income of marginal people while the government is increasing prices of petrol and diesel thereby increasing financial burden on millions of people across the country.
He said that the recent hike in fuel prices has affected the budget of every common man which in turn will trigger inflation in all essential commodities.
The Congress leader said, despite the low prices of crude oil in international markets, the government is imposing heavy taxes on crude oil which is badly impacting the livelihood of middle class people.
