SRINAGAR, Feb 23: Former members of banned Jamaat-e-Islami today launched a new political party, Jammu and Kashmir Justice and Development Front for development and peace of the region.
Following the participation in recent Assembly elections, these leaders said that the party aims to work towards the development and peace of the region.
“As part of its initiatives, the party is committed to the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits and the formation of Front’s new committees, which will actively work for the welfare and interests of the public,” they said.
During the official launch event, prominent leaders of the Front, including President Shamim Ahmed Thokar, General Secretary Rishi Siyar, and Advisory President Muhammad Ahsan Lone, were present.
Addressing the gathering, the Front’s speakers emphasized their vision of a peaceful and progressive Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the party’s dedication to addressing the concerns of all communities.
“The newly formed political party seeks to create an inclusive platform where the voices of the people are heard, and their concerns are addressed effectively, ” said the leaders assuring that the Front’s New Committees will play an active role in resolving public grievances, promoting harmony, and ensuring overall development in the region.
