Srinagar Mar 24: Police today conducted a search at the residence of a former Hurriyat member in Shopian district.
An official said that search was conducted in connection with a case FIR No. 9/2024 under sections 10 and 13 of the UAPA.

He said that the search was conducted in the house of former Hurriyat (G) member Mohammad Amin Parray son of Ghulam Nabi Parray of Kundalan.
Meanwhile, a police spokesperson said that in continuation of the efforts to curb unlawful activities and dismantle the terror ecosystem, Pulwama Police conducted searches at multiple locations across the district in connection with the investigation of proscribed organizations.
The searches were carried out in connection with a case under FIR number 08/2024 under UAPA registered at Police Station Pulwama, pertaining to banned organizations. The operations were conducted at the houses and premises of suspected OGWs and activists in Nowpora Payeen, Litter, Galbugh, and Kakapora, police said.
