NEW DELHI Dec 22: BJP leader and National Executive Member ST Morcha Ishfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal today expressed satisfaction over the decision of Government of India to form a Task Force on Indus Water Treaty.
He said a mass agitation will be launched in the country in near future to press the Government to exploit maximum water of Indian rivers flowing into the Pakistan for past many decades.
The Inter-Ministerial Task Force, to be headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Principal Secretary Nripendra Mishra, is an “all-powerful body” mandated to make all “important strategic and policy decisions.
It is indeed a great decision by the Government of India which will benefit the people of the country in the long run. In the larger interests of people, a mass agitation in the country will follow demanding the exploitation of the waters of Indian rivers flowing into the Pakistan for past many decades,” said Poswal.
