KISHTWAR, Sept 19: Forest produce ‘Nagchatri’ smuggler has been arrested here today.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Chatroo led by SHO Inspector Inspector Sandeep Parihar and accompanied by Incharge Police Post Mughalmaidan PSI Imran Khan laid a surprise naka at Mughalmaidan market and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police team recovered 4 sacks of forest produce ‘Nagchatri’ weighting about 80 kilograms and arrested the pedestrian, who was identified as Mohammad Yousaf, son of Abdul Rehman of Drubeel Mughalmaidan Chatroo.
A case FIR Number 58/2021 under Sections 379 IPC and 6 Forest Act has been registered at Police Station Chatroo and investigation started.
