REASI, June 3: A massive forest fire broke out today in the forest area of Salal, sending plumes of smoke into the sky.
As strong winds continue to blow across the region, the blaze is spreading rapidly, making fire- fighting efforts increasingly challenging.
Forest Department teams have swiftly reached the site and are actively engaged in operations to douse the flames.
Till the last reports came in, the blazes were still uncontrolled while thousands of trees have reduced to ashes.
