JAMMU, Mar 3: Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch constituency, Madan Lal Sharma, asked the people to follow the teachings of great Saint Guru Ravi Dass ji which are very relevant even in today’s life.
Addressing the gathering at a function organized in connection with the Guru Ravi Dass Ji Jayanti celebrations at Rajpura Shakti Nagar here today, the MP asked the people to follow the path shown by great Guru which leads to wards peace, prosperity and brotherhood. He said the Union Government has launched many programmes for the development of Scheduled Castes and the members of this community should take full benefit of the centrally sponsored schemes for them. He informed that special scholarships are given to the children of these communities and termed the education as key to prosperity. He appealed the people to educate their children.
Vice Chairman OBC Board, Kuldeep Raj Verma, ex-Corporator Manmohan Singh and Vikram Malhotra also addressed the gathering.
Earlier, the MP inaugurated a Physiotherapy Centre constructed in the memory of Sant Shri Gurvakash Singh Ji Danna at Nanak Nagar.
