JAMMU, June 6: A delegation of Federation of Industries (FoI) Jammu met the visiting members of 14th Finance Commission and submitted a memorandum with charter of demands.
Led by chairman of the Federation, Annil Suri on behalf of industries fraternity at Jammu and Srinagar the delegation placed a power point presentation before the 14th FC members and projected burning issues of the industry in the State.
Mr Suri demanded refund of 100% Central Excise Duty, withdrawal of 100 % Income Tax exemption for industrial units, applicability of existing industrial package of incentives to existing units, implementation of recommendations of PM’s Task Force on MSME.
The FoI delegation also stressed for development of new infrastructure, creation of infrastructure for job linked skill programme, mother industry, compulsory purchase by Central Govt organizations, exemption to industrial sector from the preview of Goods and Service Tax and accelerated development of hydel potential.
Mr Suri was accompanied by other senior members of the Federation.
