JAMMU, May 24: The Government today ordered constitution of `district level flying squad committees’ to monitor the attendance and other academic activities in the Government run and the private (recognised) schools of their respective areas.
Official sources said that the flying squad committee will be headed by Chief Education Officer concerned while senior most Principal DIET in the district and ZEO concerned will be the members of the squad.
Another committee will be headed by Principal DIET while senior most HoD DIET in the district and ZEO concerned will be the members, while another yet committee headed by DyCEO or DEPO along with ZEO will operate in its respective jurisdiction. In case of these districts which have DyCEO and DEPO posted , the DyCEO shall head the aforesaid committee.
These committees have been directed to strictly check the attendance of teaching and non-teaching staff in schools, ensure completion of syllabi in time and closely monitor academic and other activities including Mid Day Meals in the schools of their areas.
