SAMBA, June 20: Police today claimed to have seized five vehicles, including 4 dumpers, for illegal mining in the jurisdictions of Police Station Ghagwal and Samba.
A police official said that the seizures were made by teams of Police Stations Ghagwal and Samba led by the SHOs concerned to check the illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the respective areas.
Post seizure, he said, the vehicles were handed over to the Geology and Mining Department Samba for further legal action.
