SAMBA, Jan 24: Five vehicles were seized for mining illegally in the jurisdictions of Police Stations Samba and Ghagwal today.
A police official said that police teams headed by incharge Police Post Mansar, incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Talli, both falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and incharge Police Post Rajpura falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal seized four dumpers and one excavator during routine patrolling duties.
Post seizure, the vehicles were handed over to the Geology and Mining Department, he said.
The operation was conducted under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Varinder Manhas.
