SAMBA, Feb 10: Continuing its crackdown on illegal mining, Samba Police have seized five vehicles involved in unauthorized transportation and excavation of construction material across the district.
Police teams led by SHO Police Station (PS) Ramgarh, SHO PS Samba, Incharge Police Post (PP) Supwal (under PS Samba), and Incharge PP Utterbehani (under PS Purmandal) conducted patrols in their respective jurisdictions, leading to the seizure of two tractor trolleys with registration numbers JK21-9658 and JK21H-7300, along with three others without registration numbers.
The seized vehicles have been handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba, for further legal action. Samba Police have reiterated their commitment to curbing illegal mining activities in the region.
