JAMMU, May 25: Five mobile and wallet snatchers were arrested by police in Miran Sahib area here today.
A police official said that Karanjeet Singh alias Jimmy and Jashandeep Singh, both residents of Digiana near Ashram, Amit Sandu alias Pakk, Sumit Sharma, both residents of Bishnah, and Mohammad Sabar of Sunjwan Camp, Samba, at present Baba Farid Nagar, Sehora, were arrested on the complaint of theft of one Rajat Sudhan son of Rakesh Kumar of Langotian.
He said the arrested individuals have been accordingly booked in case FIR number 65/2025 under section 305 of the BNS registered at Police Station Miran Sahib.
According to the police official, some snatched mobile phones, a sharp-edged weapon, and two motorcycles have also been recovered from the possession of the arrested individuals, who are notorious criminals.
Meanwhile, police have started further investigation into the matter.
