JAMMU, Oct 23: Five persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a woman identified as Kamlesh Kumari (50) wife of Harnam Singh, resident of Lale-da-bagh, was injured this morning when the scooty on which she was going on, was hit by a truck at Parmandal Morh.
A pedestrian namely Vachaspati Sharma (80) son of late Durga Dutt, resident of Tange Wali Gali (Kacchi Chawni, Jammu) was hit and injured by a scooty at Kacchi Chawani.
Two bike borne youths suffered injuries when a rashly driven car hit their two-wheeler near Kol Kandoli Mandir in Nagrota area. The injured were identified as Sanjay Kumar (25) and Rakesh Kumar (20), both sons of Jaga Ram and resident of Kandoli, Nagrota.
At Bantalab Chowk in city outskirts, a rashly driven bike hit and injured a pedestrian, who was identified as Santosh Handoo (55) wife of Subash Chander, resident of Ghaink (tehsil Bhalwal).
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
