JAMMU, Dec 12: Jammu and Kashmir Police have solved the recent firing incident in the Marh area with the arrest of five accused involved in the case.
Police said that the action followed a complaint by one Jatinder Singh alias Rajan of Marh, after which a case FIR number 258/2025 under sections 3/4/25/27 of the Arms Act and section 191(2) of the BNS was registered at Police Station Domana.
They said post registration of FIR, a team led by SHO Domana, Inspector Varuneshwar Singh, conducted multiple raids and arrested all the five accused, later identified as Ripu Daman Singh Jamwal of Mubarak Mandi, Akshay Sharma of Ragunath Pura, Vikrant Kesar of Marh, Rohan Goswami of Gujjar Nagar and Abhinesh Singh of Dogra Hall, Rehari.
“A country-made pistol used in the firing, along with one live round and one fired round, and four sharp-edged weapons were seized from the accused,” a police official said.
In addition, he said, a scooty and a motorcycle used in the crime were taken into custody.
Meanwhile, further investigation has into the matter has been set into motion.
