UDHAMPUR, Apr 10: A five-day Orientation/Refresher Course for officers and officials of the CID Wing of Jammu & Kashmir Police concluded today at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur.
The valediction ceremony was held at the Academy, wherein Rajesh Sharma, Dy Director SKPA, presided over the function as the chief guest.
The course, conducted under the close supervision and guidance of the Director SKPA, was aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities of CID personnel and equipping them with updated knowledge and skills in intelligence gathering, investigation, and emerging security challenges.
During the five-day training programme, experts, serving and retired police officers delivered lectures on a wide range of subjects, including intelligence gathering, intelligence analysis, types of intelligence, the growing importance of drones in intelligence and surveillance etc. The sessions were interactive in nature and focused on practical case studies to ensure better understanding and effective field application.
Addressing the participants during the valedictory function, Mr Sharma commended the dedication and active participation of the trainees. He emphasized the importance of continuous capacity building and urged the officers to effectively utilize the knowledge gained to strengthen intelligence-based policing and improve service delivery.
Certificates were distributed among the participants on the occasion. Trainees also shared their feedback, appreciating the relevance, structure, and quality of the training programme. The course was meticulously coordinated by Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, with valuable assistance from Sgct Shabir Ahmed, a member of the SKPA faculty.
