First batch leaves for Mani Mahesh yatra

JAMMU, July 29: First batch of yatris today left for annual Mani Mahesh Ji yatra from Bhaderwah.
The pilgrims departed by foot to the holy cave shrine of Chamba in Himachal Pradesh, bordering Bhaderwah area of Doda district, for the yatra of Mani Mahesh.
A group of about 2500 pilgrims departed from Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Bhaderwah for Bheja enroute to the cave shrine.
Administration has made adequate security arrangements including drinking water and medicare facilities for the yatris enroute.
MLC Naresh Gupta, Additional SP Roop Lal Bhagat, Tehsildar Bhaderwah, Sudershan Kumar, SDPO Jameel Ahmad and Sanatan Dharam Sabha president Ashok Kotwal among others were present to see off first batch of the yatris.
