First Aid training programme organized by GCET

JAMMU, Dec 12: Government College of Engineering & Technology (GCET), Chak Bhalwal, Jammu organized a First Aid training programme for students and the faculty in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu region.
During the training programme besides awareness lectures practical training was also imparted to the participants.
Dr. Vijay Sahni, HoD Blood Bank, Govt. Medical College, Jammu spoke about the importance of donating blood.
R.C. Puri, Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu region also appreciated the efforts put forward by the Institute for carrying out Red Cross activities.
Dr. Sarbjeet Singh, Associate Professor & Head Mechanical Engineering Department and programme Incharge, Red Cross Unit, GCET, Jammu while speaking on the occasion stressed on the importance of such First Aid training programmes. He further assured that such programmes, blood donation camps/interactive sessions will be organized for both students and faculty of the Institute.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Sameru Sharma, Principal, GCET.
Dr. Roaf Ahmad Khan presented vote of thanks.
