JAMMU, Feb 1: A fire broke out in a residential structure at Fattu Chowgan area here today.
Officials said the fire possibly erupted due to short-circuit in the second floor of a residential structure belonging to one Rishabh Agarwal of Fattu Chowgan and spread rapidly.
Alarmed by the situation, the family members called Fire and Emergency Department for help but by the time fire tenders arrived at the scene to douse the flames, the fire had inflicted considerable damage to the property.
Meanwhile, police have started investigation into the matter to ascertain the exact reason behind the fire.
