RAJOURI, Dec 10: Some unidentified miscreants allegedly set on fire a saw mill and also attempted to break wall of the adjoining Canara Bank branch at Loharkote in Sunderbani, here last night.
Police is investigating the matter and an FIR bearing number 103/2021, under section 457, 380, 336, 511 IPC has been registered in this connection against unknown at PS Sunderbani.
Reports said that fire broke out in the saw mill, owned by Arun Kumar, son of Late Ishar Dass of Banpuri, located near Petrol Pump, Loharakote.
Rescue team of Fire emergency along with Police reached the spot and controlled the blazes. No loss of human life or injuries to anyone has been reported even as wall of the adjoining Canara Bank branch got damaged in the incident.
As per the written complaint lodge by the Canara Bank Manager, some unknown persons tried to break wall of the bank building during the intervening night of Dec 09/10, 2021 and also set ablaze the adjoining sawmill.
