POONCH, July 8: A section of Samagra Shiksha unit in Chief Education Office, Poonch suffered major loss in fire incident, during which official record including files, computers, solar lights of seasonal schools, stationary and Gen sets along with other items were burnt and turned into ashes.
Official sources said that during night hours, fire breaks out suddenly in a building of Samagra section in CEO office Poonch. The window mirror broke down due to heat and the security personnels came to know about fire incident. The officials rushed and informed fire tenders, following which fire services reached and started extinguishing fire but till it was controlled, the section of this building having maximum material of Samagra was burnt.
Chief Education Officer Poonch, Syed Iftikhar Hussain when contacted said that there was the store of Samagra Unit in this portion of building which suffered damage.
“We have written for registration of an FIR to Police Station Poonch for the investigation of this incident and will also look into the matter personally. Station House Officer Poonch Danish Javid said that an FIR number 122/2025 has been registered and investigation to know the cause of fire has been initiated.
