Fire breaks out at mobile store

JAMMU, Aug 12: A fire broke out at a mobile store at Apsara Road, Gandhi Nagar area here today, damaging an AC and several mobile phones worth lakhs.
Around 1:30 PM, a fire apparently erupted at Realme store at Apsara Road due to short-circuiting in the Air Conditioner (AC) which quickly spread.

After getting information, the owner of the rented store, Vikas Gupta of Shastri Nagar, Jammu, informed the Police and Fire and Emergency Department, which rushed fire tenders to the spot to contain the flames.
After hectic efforts, the fire was stopped from spreading further, but by the time it was controlled, it had damaged an AC and several mobile phones worth several lakhs.
By the time this report was filed, police had not assessed the losses.
However, they have started an investigation to ascertain the exact reason behind the mysterious fire and losses suffered by the owner of the store.
