UDHAMPUR, June 15: For the non-compliance of tenant verification norms, Police Station Udhampur has registered another FIR within a week’s time.
During a tenant verification drive near Birma Bridge, PTC Road, Udhampur, a team of Police Station Udhampur found that Ram Jattan of Satnaryan, resident of Battal Ballian, currently residing near Birma Bridge, had rented out his premises without submitting tenant details to the Police Station, thus violating DM Order No. DMU/JC/540 dated 31-05-2025.
As a result, FIR number 218/2025, under section 223(a) BNS has been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur. This is the second FIR registered within a week’s time for non-compliance of tenant verification norms.
Udhampur Police has urged the general public and house owners of District Udhampur to promptly submit tenant details as per the prescribed guidelines as non-compliance may result in legal action.
